The Choir
The Elizabeth Singers is a vocal consort based in Cardiff, UK. The group was created by Elizabeth Preece in 2015 and is formed of professional and other high-quality musicians. We regularly perform concerts showcasing a range of choral music with a particular focus on 16th century music. We have also sung Choral Evensong at various venues and have been hired to sing for weddings and funerals.
Musical Director
Elizabeth Preece is a pianist, singer, conductor and researcher. She studied music at Cardiff University and went onto study an MMus in choral conducting at the University of Cambridge. She then completed her PhD in Sociology at Bristol University where her research focuses on chorister education, social class, the recruitment of choristers and the impact of choral music in the lives of former choristers.
